Industrial Permits Increase
The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade issued 3,235 industrial permits across the country in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Oct. 22, 2017).
Establishment permits and Development permits accounted for 1,786 and 1,449 of the total sum respectively, IRNA reported.
The estimated amount of investments required for these projects stood at an aggregate of 162.95 trillion rials (close to $3.5 billion).
Permits issued for the establishment of new industrial units registered a 3% increase compared with last year’s corresponding period.
These permits are estimated to have generated close to 30,850 jobs.
Isfahan with 161 permits topped the list of provinces in which establishment permits were issued, followed by East Azarbaijan with 127 and Tehran with 120 permits.
Permits issued for the development of industrial projects during the period saw a 15.7% rise year-on-year. These permits are estimated to have created 22,318 jobs.
The highest number of development permits was issued in Tehran Province (152), followed by East Azarbaijan (152) and Isfahan (116).
